DMCA Policy

1. Overview

.ctx respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. We will respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

2. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied and is accessible on .ctx in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, send a written notice with the following:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.

2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.

3. Identification of the infringing material with enough detail to locate it (e.g., product URL).

4. Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email.

5. A statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner.

6. A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act.

3. Takedown Procedure

Upon receiving a valid notice, we promptly remove or disable access to the material.

We notify the creator who uploaded the content.

The creator may submit a counter-notification if the takedown was in error.

Content may be restored within 10--14 business days if no court action is filed.

4. Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error, file a counter-notification containing:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the removed material and where it appeared
  • A statement under penalty of perjury of good faith belief
  • Your name, address, and telephone number
  • Consent to jurisdiction of your local federal district court

5. Repeat Infringers

We will terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. Three valid DMCA notices against a creator will result in permanent account suspension.
